I, Nancy Davanloo, sadly announce the passing of my dear father, Dr. Habib Davanloo, M. D., Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

He was a great man, loving husband and loving father, a prominent researcher and a pioneer in the field of psychotherapy, throughout his entire life, among much else. The technique he created in the 1960’s, Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, which he continued to develop and teach throughout his life, has changed the life of many, worldwide, and will be his enduring gift to the world. I, as my father’s daughter, and a part of The International Institute For The Teaching And Research In Dr. Habib Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, that my father founded, will continue his relentless work of the correct way of teaching this amazing technique, expanding his memory throughout the international scientific community.

My dear father was, and will always be, proud of his family and his work. I have been so very blessed to have my father in my life.
